Vishal J

The faculty at the Musician’s Institute in southern California can worry a little less about their medical coverage knowing that one of their students holds a medical degree .And since Vishal J also boasts a producer credit with the 1998 Indian smash hit “Karz 2000” one wonders if Vishal shouldn’t be teaching some of the music courses there as well.

Originally from Bombay, this 26 year old electronic musician left a life of medicine behind for a life music study in LA. One his way to the US he found time to compose “#0157 Endless Trip” which has become a huge hit in the BBM library.

When asked about music school Vishal says “It’s nothing but fun. Even when you're learning new things or trying out different experiments, the students and the faculty are all having a blast. That’s one of the reasons I left medicine as a profession. You gotta do what your heart desires. Medicine had everything: a stable income, lots of money, but sometimes thats just not it. I've met a lot of lawyers and engineers who have become musicians. I guess the artist in us always comes out. I don't really care about the money in music as long as I can buy gear and make great stuff.”

That’s great, Vishal. Now could you please send more great stuff? “0157 Endless Trip” was a huge hit and we need more!
