Kevin McMullan

Kevin McMullen clearly remembers the moment he knew he wanted to be a musician: “In 7th grade, I saw Buddy Rich play with Animal on The Muppet Show. I promised right there to mow as many lawns necessary to buy my first drum kit. I still use that same kit in my studio today.”

As a staff music composer/sound designer for an internationally known game developer, Kevin is no stranger to interactive music. His Pseudo Hip Hop loop “0195 The Secret Plan” is a study in pensive simplicity. And his steel drum flavored “Pina Colada Waltz” consistently reduces BBM’s productivity when played in the office.

Kevin’s proudest career moment so far?

“That’s an even tie between standing in front of a 70 piece orchestra
recording my music, or working with legendary mastering engineer Bob Ludwig who mastered the tracks for that project. It was a very strange feeling to sign my name in his guest book and see it filled with names like Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Dave Grohl, the members of Radiohead, Tool, Phish, No Doubt and more. It was nice to be like them for one day.”
