Andre Mayeux

One shudders to think of how many MC’s have mispronounced Andre Mayeux’s last name onstage, to say nothing of how telemarketers say it.. “Now, when I play with new people, I tell them "Just think of Andre Mayeux (my-u) from the bayou.”

We think it’s safe to assume that both Sheen Easton and Juice Newton can pronounce his name, since he’s toured as a keyboardist with them for several years. It’s also probably a safe bet that the music staff at LSU in Baton Rouge can pronounce it correctly, since that’s were he obtained his composition degree.

Andre has written some of most electrifying orchestral music in the BBM library. We instantly knew we had a hit on our hands when were heard the Hollywood style grandiosity of “#0203 Happy Ending”. And one listen to “#0192 Most Things Considered” will boost your history exam scores by at least a letter grade.

Andre and his family have lived in Southern California for the past 20 years where he has composed and produced music for film, industrial film, commercials, and recordings. He has produced several contemporary jazz CDs for BrainChild Records and BankBeat Records. Mayeux has written and produced two songs used in the upcoming feature film "Nursie", being released this summer.
