When pianist Jonathan Cooper called us a while back and said, "Need any help with that web music thing?" we were surprised for two reasons. First, Jonathan stays busy mixing and engineering for a veritable who's who of the national Rap/RnB scene. Secondly, in college Jonathan was such a relaxed Zenmaster that we honestly thought he'd be chilling in Tibet by now.
Lucky for us, Jonathan continues to search for Buddha through his music gear and produces gems like "Spirit Fingers (#0072)," with it's American Beauty-ish, Lester Burnham-meets-the-neighbors-type vibe. One of the profiling questions we asked our composers was, "What's your favorite Star Wars character?" From the beginning, we had Jonathan pegged as a Yoda fan. But, always full of surprises, he chose Han Solo. Go figure.
