James Cool is our resident Dance music expert. As co-founder of BasicLux Records, James recently released two compilation CD's titled New Sound Theory vol. 1 & 2 which are absolutely stunning collections of chill out music (www.newsoundtheory.com).

So it makes sense to us, if only to irritate James, to draw parallels between the events of his life and those of Stephen Pearcy, lead singer of 80's metal band Ratt. Both played guitar in high school. Both have a history of excellent fashion choices and both experienced huge musical growth while recuperating from daredevil accidents. While being hospitalized for a car accident, Pearcy learned guitar. While recovering from an in-line skating accident, James discovered Nuendo, Reason and a host of other computer programs that he has become addicted to.

It's there that the parallels stop, because while Stephen Pearcy was in make-up for "Behind the Music," James was working on his latest projects-including a full length version of his Madison Park CD (www.madison-park.com) and tracks for a Cole Porter tribute album..........And, of course, fielding late night calls from us like, "Dude! C an you get us into the club for free?"
