Originally from Dallas, Texas, Brian Fisher marked his
first musical territory in St. Louis as the noisemaker/guitar/keyboard/vocalist for synth/punk
band 13after. Brians description of the whole process requires a flow chart so get ready:
There was a whole punk scene in St Louis in the eighties,
causing me to be heavily influenced by bands like
the Circle Jerks and 7Seconds. I played drums
in a band that started off as Caffeine and actually got a song featured on a national New Red Archives compilation CD called
Hardcore Breakout. Our lead singer left the band and started
the 90 Day Men. Without a lead singer, Caffeine then re-named itself Withdrawal with founded punk label Majic Chef.
Then the bass player for Withdrawal and I started
a synth/punk band called 13after. At first we didnt
think there was an audience for that kind of music;
but then we saw how successful Brainiac became and
got more serious about it. Next thing you know were
winning a Slammies Award for Best Punk Band of 2000,
which completely pissed off alot of the local punk bands.
Today, Brian is the co-founder of Motley Motion Films in
Atlanta, creating DVDs and Electronic Press Kits (EPK's)
for major label acts like Seven Dust, 3 Doors Down and more.
Brians total disregard for musical convention
has led him to create some of BBMs most original
sounding loops. Our personal fave is #0127 Haunted
Submarine.
