Based in Paris, France, Ton Dreissens considers himself first and foremost a sound design artist. After getting his degree in Music Technology, Ton first worked as a Flash designer, and then went on to help develop music products for Nemesys and TC Electronics. His mastery of both audio and Flash landed him his next job at Mood Media, one of Europe’s leading music marketing firms.

As a musician, Ton has held a long-standing commitment use no outside samples or drum loops in his music, making his sound one of the most unique in the BBM.net library. Check the ethereal intensity of “#0159 Crouching Buddha” or “#0186 Infinite Possibilities”. He has recently signed with a French label to produce, in his words, “music which is sometimes defined as IDM, beatscapes, or experimental techno”.

When asked who was the most influential music teacher in his life is, Ton says “My drum teacher, who at the time I thought was too much of a perfectionist. But he’s responsible for the fact that I can do paradiddles at 74 bpm without moving my wrists. That helps me everyday with in my drum sequencing. “
