Born in Liverpool, and living in in Manchester, UK. Steve Dougherty is a multi instrumentalist/writer. In early 1998 he was signed to Creation Records (Sony) as guitarist, singer and writer of a rock band.Since then he has developed music for television and film and has recently written music for the trailer of the next Russel Crowe film, ‘Master And Commander’. Steve draws musical inspiration from film composers such as Danny Elfman and John Barry and learned the intricacies of songwriting from the work of Burt Bacharach amongst others. He's a big fan of 70’s cop shows. Some of the shows’ composers (like Mike Post and Lalo Schiffrin) have had a major impact on his music.

Steve says, "Car chases seem to influence my basslines. Someday I'd like to build a studio inside a 1976 Lincoln Continental."
